The Add Email function is available for contacts in your Visiting Companies section and Anonymous Visitors section (i.e those that have not been identified through email). This option helps you manually add email addresses to these contacts to turn them into Leads. This is particularly useful when you already have information about contacts that helps you map a person to the contact.
To understand the use case, letβs take an example here. Your sales team talked to leads from 10 companies. Now, some show up on your website to evaluate your product but do not sign up during their first visit. With the information already available to your sales team, sales can simply map the point of contact to the session to turn the contact into a lead and track further.
When an email address for a contact is added, the contact is automatically enriched with profile data and if you have any integrations or workflows, data sync will be triggered when eligible.
If you find it suitable, you can also add the email address of a prospect to the contact by finding them from the Prospect section on contact details.
