To set up lead scoring rules, visit the lead scoring section from your dashboard and click on Create Rule. While creating a lead scoring rule, you will need to use filters for the data points you want to use. Data points are divided in three sections: Contact, Visit and Activity.
The data attributes comprise of individual data, company data and activity data.
You can assign positive or negative points based on how good/bad the criteria is for you. For example, you can assign positive points if leads match your customer profile and negative points if they don’t. Same can be done for behavioral data. Visiting pricing page and visiting your website and reading content multiple times can be considered positive behavior while unsubscribing to communications can be considered negative behavior.
You can create as many rules as you need to complete your workflow.
Changing or Deactivating Rules
To edit workflows, click on the edit button under “Actions” denoted beside the rule. You can either change a rule or disable a rule. To disable a rule, simply uncheck the Activate button.
Once you change or deactivate a rule, a lead’s score will only be updated when they visit your website again.
